Meet our Repair Technician:
Dillon Johnson

Dillon Johnson runs the instrument repair shop here at the Tuba Exchange. He grew up right here in North Carolina. After graduating high school, Dillon enlisted in the United State Army and served as a tuba player overseas and here state side. After 6 years of active duty service, Dillon attended Campbell University to pursue a degree in music education, then attended Renton Technical College to obtain his certification in band instrument repair technology. After leaving Renton Tech. Dillon studied under veteran instrument repair technicians, including Mike Morse. As of 2024, Dillon took over the reigns of the brass repair shop, from Mike, here at the Tuba Exchange.
In addition to running the repair shop, Dillon has enjoyed performing with groups around the Triangle such as, The Triangle British Brass Band, The Durham Medical Orchestra, The Triangle Wind Ensemble, and Old North State Brass. He still currently serves as a tuba/trombone player in the 440th, North Carolina Army National Guard, band.
