Chemical Cleaning and Service
The instrument is completely disassembled, degreased and chemically cleaned until all hard deposits are gone. The instrument is then dried. Piston valves are aligned with synthetic materials, rotors are aligned with material choice (cork or rubber). Slides are polished, lubricated, and fit as necessary. Water key corks are fit and replaced. Valve springs, guides, waterkey springs are replaced as necessary. Minor bell dents only are included.

Dent work: The Tuba Exchange is fully outfitted for dent work with an assortment of mandrels, rollers, dent balls, MDRS, and a dent machine. Dent work charges are added to chemical cleaning prices as some dents cannot be removed on a dirty instrument. Pricing is determined at the time of assessment and based of the shop rate of $75 an hour.
Soldering: soldering starts at the shop minimum of $25. Each additional spot after the first will be an additional $15.
Lacquer Stripping and Other Custom Work: Based on shop rate of $75 and hour and determined at time of evaluation of instrument and work needed.
